This policy explains how RiseSation Establishment handles information when businesses use Wasl to manage their WhatsApp Business customer conversations.
1. Who we are
Wasl is a software service provided by RiseSation Establishment, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (“we”, “us”). Wasl lets businesses manage their own customer conversations on WhatsApp Business with their team.
This policy explains what information we handle when a business uses Wasl, why we handle it and the choices available. It applies to the Wasl website and the Wasl application.
2. Our role and our customers’ role
Each business that uses Wasl (“customer”) decides which WhatsApp Business account to connect, which team members to invite and how to communicate with its own customers. For the customer conversations and contact information a business keeps in Wasl, that business is responsible for the information and for having a lawful basis to use it. We process that information on the business’s behalf, to provide the service.
For information about the people who sign in to Wasl (account and billing information), we decide how it is used and are responsible for it.
3. Information we handle
Depending on how a business uses Wasl, we handle:
- Account information: names, email addresses, phone numbers and roles of team members invited to a workspace.
- Workspace information: the business name, settings, subscription and billing records.
- WhatsApp Business information that the business authorizes: the connected business phone number and display name, message templates and their approval status.
- Customer conversation information: messages, photos, documents and voice notes exchanged with the business’s customers, delivery and read status, and the customers’ WhatsApp names and phone numbers.
- Contact information a business adds or edits in Wasl, such as names, companies, email addresses and tags.
- Usage and security information, such as sign-in activity and records of important changes in a workspace.
4. How we use information
We use information only to provide, secure and support the service, including to:
- receive and send WhatsApp messages for the business that owns the conversation;
- show conversations, contacts, templates, campaigns, automations and analytics inside that business’s workspace;
- run the automations a business switches on;
- manage team access, subscriptions and billing;
- keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems;
- communicate with workspace owners and administrators about the service.
WhatsApp Business data that a business authorizes is used only to provide the communication features that business uses. We do not sell personal information and we do not use customer conversations for advertising.
5. How information is shared
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- With Meta, which provides WhatsApp Business, so messages can be sent and received and templates can be managed for the business’s connected account.
- With service providers that host and operate our infrastructure on our behalf, under appropriate obligations.
- Inside a workspace, with the team members the business has invited, according to their role.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the service.
One business on Wasl cannot see another business’s workspace, contacts or conversations.
6. Security
We use measures such as separate workspaces with access checks on our servers, role-based permissions, encrypted connections (HTTPS), private storage for media with short-lived access links, and server-side storage of connection credentials. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect the information we handle.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep workspace information for as long as the business uses Wasl, and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law.
Businesses can delete contacts in Wasl. A workspace owner can ask us to delete the workspace and its data, or to disconnect its WhatsApp Business account, by contacting us (see “Contact us”). We will confirm the request with the workspace owner before acting on it.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses.
If you are a customer of a business that uses Wasl, please contact that business first: it controls your conversation and contact information. We will help the business respond to your request.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Wasl changes. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we will let workspace owners know.
10. Contact us
